Service Area: The Nebraska Service Center accepts and processes the applications and petitions from people residing in the following states: Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming
Applications for asylum (Form I-589) may require filing at a different Service Center than indicated above; please check the instructions for Form I-589 to determine where you should file your application.
Direct Mail Cases That Can Be Accepted: NOTE EXCEPTIONS: There are some applications that must be filed with a specific Service Center regardless of where an applicant or petitioner lives. Those applications are:
Forms I-129,Petition for A Nonimmigrant Worker, are filed at the Vermont Service Center. Forms I-360, Self-Petitions filed by Battered Spouse or Child are filed at the Vermont Service Center. Forms I-526, Immigrant Petition by Alien Entrepreneur, are filed at either the California Service Center or Texas Service Center. Please see the Form I-526 for filing instructions.

Applications/Petitions Filed at Local Office but Processed at the NSC: The following applications must be submitted to a local office but may be forwarded by that office to the NSC for processing. Form I-212 Application for Permission to Reapply for Admission into the United States After Deportation or Removal
Form I-612 Application for Waiver of the Foreign Resident Requirement of Section 212(e) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as amended
Since all applications and petitions adjudicated at the NSC are entered into the electronic receipting systems for tracking, any application or petition received at the NSC and that has been accepted elsewhere by a USCIS office will be assigned a "LIN" (short for Lincoln.) number.
Mailing Your Application/Petition to Us: Each form sent to the Nebraska Service Center has a different P.O. box number and zip-code identifier. Please use the correct P.O. Boxes and Zip Codes listed here to mail your application/petition.
